Thailand is one of the world’s major
tourist destinations. This country that dates back to 40,000 years has been
ruled by different empires over different periods of time. It is rich in
cultural heritage, monuments and historical buildings, beaches and other
natural features. There are many things to do in Thailand as it caters to
people on different budgets and therefore accommodates everyone.
To get to Thailand, people travel by air
using the official carrier. There are two major airports in the country, and
they serve the population of tourists coming in. If you are traveling from
neighboring countries, people use buses and trains. There
are tuk-tuks, motorbikes, and ferries for internal travel as well.
Some of the places to visit in Thailand
include:
Bangkok
This is the capital city of Thailand and
hosts a population of 11 million people. While Bangkok is predominantly a
business and pleasure destination, it has a lot to offer including floating
markets. Some of these markets are Bang KhuWiang, ThaKha and Bang Namphueng.
These provide for a unique experience in your Thailand travel as it is unlikely
that you will have another opportunity to go to a floating market if you do not
live in an area that has such.
Other places to list down in your
Thailand tourism itinerary include the Queen Sirikit Park, Rot Fai Gardens, Sanam
Chandra Palace and the Puppet Show at Aksra Theatre. There are so many things to do in
Thailand in Bangkok only.
Krabi
This city is beautiful and breathtaking,
to say the least. The location and limestone with the most angular karsts place
the city on a whole other level. The city is actually full of people, but this
does not interfere with Thailand tourism
as there are the Klong Thom Hot Springs, the Pra-Ae Beach and Khao Khanab Nam
which are waiting for you to visit. This landscape provides for the most
beautiful photos.
Chiang Mai
This city offers many monuments to visit
in your Thailand travel.
Wat Phan On and Wat Ku Tao are beautiful places to behold. These unique set ups
provide a feel of the Thai culture and its expression in buildings and other
structures.
Another place to stop by in Chiang Mai
would be the Chiang Mai City Arts and Cultural Centre, the Chiang Dao Cave and
the Bo Sang Handicraft Village which has some of the most beautiful and unique
handicrafts. You can buy these to take home as souvenirs from your trip.
You will never run out of things to do
in Thailand or even places to visit. Whatever your budget is, structure your
visit to fit into that budget so you can enjoy a slice of Thailand. While you
will still be able to enjoy yourself and experience the beauty in Thai culture,
it would be better to fork out some more cash. This will increase the
opportunities that are available for you and thus make the trip more
entertaining and memorable.
